What an exciting year this will be! Looking back at where we have been over 200 years provides a perspective for decisions about where we should head over the next few decades. Congratulations to all for a wonderful program of celebration events and a tribute to Warren County''s past.

Have spent a lot of time hanging out with the Stony Creek Dancers, and Mr. Johnny Thorpe. These are the times, my friend. As the band the Eagles sing, "We shall never be here again." Taking It Easy.

My father''s family "Waldron" were early settlers in the North Creek area (Elm Hill). My grandfather was Jesse J. Waldron and I''ve always wondered about a news clip I found that was published in the Warrensburg News -Thursday April 28, 1921. The header is "North Creek To Have Hotel" My grandfather had purchased the John Mack property from a Mr. Issac Ginsberg of Glens Falls and planned to build a 20 room hotel near the railroad station. I know that he did build quite a few homes in the area, but can''t find out whatever happened with his hotel plan.
You have done a great job with this site! I am always looking online for pictures of the past in Warren County, and you do not disappoint.

Nothing compares to the beauty of the Adirondacks, was so blessed to grow up in Queensbury back before the developments/outlets moved in. sledding at buttmans hill or the sandpit near fox farm road, fishing at rush pond, going to StoryTown and fighting the bad men while being deputy sheriff. No place like home
